Memories,
Out in the street
like a gang of school boys just went by...
filled with happiness and naughtiness,
There talks dripping in enthusiasm,
Are creating a lot of noise,
And the house is suddenly,
In a state of haphazardness.

Memories,
Out in the street,
like some school girls just went by,
Lost in wishes, thoughts, dreams,
Their talks chiming with laughter
Give a peace of mind throughout the day,
And in the house slowly
Sunlight spreads throughtout.

Memories,
Out in the street
Like a full fledged market..

Well, I didn't know the meanings of the words ahead. so couldn't continue...
Sorry!!!

Adi, U'd have to do the last bit...
Take care

dear shadows,
when u have to wipe out ur memories, do it....
When they haunt more than they bring u happiness, wipe them out....
Every day is a new day sweetheart, n every moment is worth living...

Memories...

In a moment stolen for myself
sitting in front of the mirror
I open my box of jewels...

Laden with them its a different me

I put them back again for another day..

to steal a moment for myself and open the box of memories.

( poor imitation of a butiful couplet)

starry,
apart from dear meet_me rest of the ppl were singing their own tune, n m very crossed with them, all i intended to say was that these memories are like what goes out in the street outside.

we dont live in sound-proof houses or memory-proof minds, they come almost unwillingly, like noise from the street.

THIS IS NOT A TRANSLATION

memories like boisterous school boys, full of mischief and playfullness, also memories of a turbulent life, times which i dont like that much.

memories like shy school girls, full of dreams ans wishes, also memories of certain peaceful times gone by, times which i absolutely adore.

memories like a whole street-bazaar outside, curfew, strikes, riots, marriages, festivals, processions and what you call prasadam...fearing & frightning, delighting & crying, good & bad memories...and in this home of the heart, life once again comes alive.

hope u'll like it.

anonymous,

u dont kill ur memories. u cant.

remember wen u'd to study for exams and the neighbourhood was full of unwanted noise, u didnt ask them to shut up or bang their doors louder... u tried harder to concentrate, ignoring the disturbance, and in the meanwhile if a particular song u liked popped up, u even enjoyed it, perhaps with a bit of guilt...AND U WENT TO UR EXAM THE NEXT MORNING AND SCORED EQUALLY WELL.

all u can do is to become oblivious to things u cant control, THESE MEMORIES WILL SNEAK UP FROM TIME TO TIME, memories of sad days as well as happy moments, all u'll have to live them as deeply as possible or plainly ignore them. and of course ur reactions, wat u intend to do with them is upto u.

take care.
