untitled

ek woh bhi samay tha
jab prithvi aur akash
ek hua karte the
phir duniya banane wale ne
unhein alag kiya
aur janm hua srishti ka

aaj bhi dono
milte hain kohre ki chaanv mein
aur barish hoti hai bohat
jab pyaar karte hain woh

there was a time
when earth and sky
were one
and then, the maker of this world
separated them
and existence took birth

even today
they meet under the shadow of mist
and a lot it rains
when they make love

something similar i wrote this january, here

You didn't write for a while, but this was worth the wait. It is simply beautiful.

a very lovely image of the ever present yang/yin or sky/earth cosmic force...

rain...
can be art too... your words... pouring when you unite with your anima

really impressive poem...

and Adi, about that post on Kashmir... i read it but didn't comment to read the whole article... now i see it's gone...

it's so saddening to see religions not bringing people together but alienating them...
and maybe sadder when we do not talk about it and force unintentionally a concerned and caring friend to delete his post...
forgive us Adi...
namaste...

I like the way you bring alive their love story. Am sure they will like it too... :-)

pink: i didn't write because i was waiting for it. and i think i found it, again. thanks.

human: i know crow, this cosmic reunion is everywhere i see. have u heard of the Hindu mythological concept of 'ardhnarishwar'? it is said that lord Shiva and goddess Parvati are cojoined into one. one hald man, the other woman. for me, that is the symbol of a complete individual. and also a complete relationship.
as per the post about kashmir, i didn't delete it, just went back to settings and saved it as a draft. maybe, i'll carry it over to the other blog i have. maybe, delhidreams is not a place to talk about politics, movies or sports. that, is a decision that i've to take soon.
but yes, i did feel bad when the most regular of my friends here didn't comment on that post. and m truly grateful that you did. seems like i've forgiven myself for putting it here.
:)
thanks human.

The fancies your mind feels and transforms into such lovely imagery - very pleasing.

No less is the prose written in January - a beautiful feel for words.

this is very beautiful, very moving. i'm glad you post the original along with the translation because it has that indescribable lyrical quality of the mothertongue.

Adi...
This poem is like a soft mist... settling into my mind...

and friend... I too read the piece on Kashmir and declined to leave a word... and I too apologize... for some years I studied political science... I became disillusioned by the field as I came to see it as only defining terminology... I didn't like how it was reactionary to events... not changing anything or encouraging compassion...

my belief is that we are all one... and anything that divides us is unnatural... some would say that politics is natural... but I say it is purely cultural... an invention...

and while minority rights is an important issue we must also keep in mind the rights of a majority and of everyone together... I'm interested in a future of hope... not one of division and dominance... and definitely not one of taking sides...

and to be blunt... I don't know enough of life and living and in Kashmir to be a judge...

PEACE TO YOU ADI

with respect,
JON
