on time and photographs

Yesterday i was wondering about photographs. And how they alone have the ability to stop time in its tracks. So much alike in this power as the portrait of Dorian Gray... but opposite in the effect.

The portrait took everything upon itself while Dorian remained young. Our photographs remain beautiful and timeless, while we keep ageing outside their frames.

Posted as a comment on this amazing blog i deeply cherish: http://ht.ly/2QxvX . Thought it was good enough for an individual post :) Tell me if you liked it.

I like photography for this very reason.

And thank you, my dear - I love the header! I saw that you stopped by on my blog...appreciate it. Hope all is well with you.

Well for me photography is instant art. Beyond freezing time forever in our frames and films, I believe, your ability to look at something from a very different perspective can greatly influence your outcome. I remember shooting close to 200 shots to get one particular object look good.

And the ability to capture what you see, for the others who missed the sight, is one of the best talents you can be gifted with!

Photos are our faithful friends during lifetime. They all speak of good and bad times. Pieces of eternity. Brilliant picture you used. :)
